Fatherland Front, Cuban Revolution Defence Committees boost closer cooperation
VOV.VN - A delegation made up of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee led by Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, vice president of the VFF, paid a visit to Cuba from September 23 to September 27, during which time they attended the 10th Congress of the Committees for the Defence of the Revolution (CDRs) of Cuba.
Anh also held talks alongside Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, national coordinator of the CDR.
Both sides informed each other of the two countries’ relations and their respective organisation’s outstanding activities, as well as spending time to discuss and agreed on co-operation contents for this year and the future to maintain social order and stability, as well as supporting each country’s interests, based on their stances and international law.
They expressed their hope at the prospect of continuing to consolidate and further tightening the special traditional friendship, fraternal solidarity, comprehensive co-operation, and mutual trust that exists between the two Parties, States, and people of both sides.
On this occasion, the VFF delegation also worked with representatives from the CDR of Matanzas province, visited Nguyen Van Troi primary school, and paid a floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at a park named after the late leader in Havana.
