Lao Deputy Minister Anouparb Vongnorkeo congratulated Ly on his appointment as the Consul General in Luang Prabang. Vongnorkeo expressed confidence that, with his extensive experience, Ly will continue to help strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.

The Deputy Minister emphasised the potential for economic, forestry, and tourism development in northern Laos, while highlighting the close relationships and collaboration between northern Lao provinces and Vietnamese provinces and cities.

He expressed hope that the new Consul General will continue to serve as a bridge, encouraging Vietnamese businesses to invest in northern Laos. He affirmed that enhancing investment cooperation will bring tangible benefits to both countries and further strengthen their great friendship, special solidarity, and all-round collaboration.

Ly affirmed that during his tenure, he will make every effort to fulfil his role as a bridge, contributing to the effective cooperation between localities in northern Laos and Vietnam, as well as the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Vietnam, Laos strengthen cooperation across multiple fields

The foreign ministries of Laos and Vietnam will continue to effectively implement their cooperation agreement, the joint action programme on economic diplomacy, and other bilateral mechanisms to further strengthen ties across fields, a Vietnamese diplomat said.
