Prime Minister pays tribute to President Ho Chi Minh in Cao Bang
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with other Government officials, offered flowers and incense to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House in the Special National Historical Site of the 1950 Border Campaign Victory in northern Cao Bang province on February 2.
The PM and other officials observed a moment of silence to express their deep respect and gratitude for President Ho’s immense contributions to the Vietnamese revolution.
President Ho, who founded and led the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) following its establishment on February 3, 1930, was a distinguished figure in the global communist and workers’ movements. He devoted his entire life to the cause of national liberation, fighting for peace and happiness for both the Vietnamese people and humanity.
The President steered the Vietnamese revolution through difficult times, culminating in the unification of the country and the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. With his great contributions, he has been honoured by the world as a national liberation hero and an outstanding cultural figure.
Though the great president passed away, his legacy continues to live on in the hearts of the Vietnamese people, and his thoughts continue to guide the Vietnamese revolution, leading it from success to success.
Following his sacred teachings in the testament, in recent years, the people of Vietnam, under the leadership of the CPV, have united and strived to achieve many great victories, contributing to the building of a prosperous and beautiful country.
The historical site of the 1950 Border Campaign Victory is located in Na Lan of Duc Long Commune, about 60 kilometers from Cao Bang city via National Highway 4.
This site is closely linked to the revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh and the victory of the 1950 Border Campaign, which was a strategic turning point in the fight against French colonialism. The site was developed by the Military Commands of Military Regions 1 and 2 in coordination with Cao Bang province.
