Politburo imposes disciplinary measures on violating Party members
VOV.VN - The Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam on July 17 reviewed and imposed disciplinary measures on several Party members, following proposals from the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission.

According to the Commission’s conclusions, Do Duc Duy, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and Minister of Agriculture and Environment, committed violations of Party regulations and State laws during his previous tenure as Deputy Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Committee, and Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial People’s Committee.
He was said to violate the principles of democratic centralism, internal regulations, rules on what Party members are not allowed to do, and the code of exemplary conduct. His actions caused serious consequences, stirred negative public opinion, and damaged the credibility of the Party organisation and his affiliated institutions.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, while serving as member of the Party Central Committee, secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health, and Minister of Health, displayed signs of political, moral, and lifestyle degradation.
She violated Party regulations and State laws in carrying out her responsibilities, especially in anti-corruption, waste prevention, and negativity control. Her misconduct, which also violated the code of exemplary conduct and Party discipline, led to very serious consequences, strong public dissatisfaction, and severely damaged the Party’s and her institution’s reputation.
Based on the nature, extent, consequences, and causes of the violations, and in accordance with Party regulations on disciplining Party members, the Politburo decided to issue a warning to Comrade Do Duc Duy.
It also referred Nguyen Thi Kim Tien’s case to the Party Central Committee for disciplinary action under its authority.
The Politburo also requested relevant authorities to impose corresponding administrative penalties in a timely and coordinated manner with the Party disciplinary measures.
