PM attends Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024 opening ceremony
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and many other Party and State officials attended the opening ceremony of the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024 at Gia Lam airfield on the outskirts of Hanoi on December 19 morning.
Starting at 9 a.m., the opening ceremony began with a welcoming artistic programme featuring remarkable performances that showcase Vietnam’s land, people, aspirations for peace, and spirit of global connection. The programme was performed by over 2,000 officers, soldiers, and artists from the Vietnam People’s Army.
The opening ceremony then continued with the flag-raising ceremony of the host nation, Vietnam; an opening speech by the Prime Minister; and the official exhibition launch performed by the Prime Minister, alongside leaders of various ministries, departments, and the armed forces of participating countries.
This was followed by spectacular aerial displays, featuring advanced high-difficulty maneuvers by 14 Su-30MK2 fighter jets and armed helicopters from three air divisions of the Air Defense-Air Force Service.
There were also impressive performances and demonstrations of martial arts by commandos, as well as professional skill displays by Border Guard dogs.
After the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other delegates toured the exhibition.
The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 is taking place in Hanoi from December 19 to 22.
More than 240 organizations and companies from Vietnam and 48 other countries, including Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Finland, Belarus, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Turkey, India, Iran, Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Israel, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, and Brazil, have registered to showcase their products and technologies at the exhibition.
