Party leader requests hastening digital transformation in education
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam pushed for stronger education reforms, including stimulating innovation and digital transformation in schools, during his fact-finding trip to several schools in Hanoi on May 14.

Visiting Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and Cau Giay Secondary school, the Party leader praised the efforts of city leaders and educators in fostering a robust, high-quality educational environment that integrates innovation, technology, and digital transformation.
Hanoi leads the country in national student competitions and regional and international Olympiads. The application of information technology has made significant progress, particularly the investment in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education.
This is a testament to the innovative thinking, long-term vision, and commitment to integration of Hanoi in particular, and the Vietnamese education sector in general, he noted.
He reaffirmed the Party’s vision for a globally competitive Vietnamese education system that remains deeply rooted in national identity, and to this end education reform is necessary to ensure that all students have equal access to modern learning tools and digital resources.
Education reform must focus not only on academic excellence but also on moral, cultural, physical, and artistic development to nurture well-rounded, responsible citizens, he reminded.

The Party leader urged continued investment in science-technology, and innovation in education as part of implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57 on national science and digital transformation. He underscored the need to promote STEM education, modernise teaching methods, and integrate digital tools to prepare students for global competitiveness.
The leader stressed the principle that “no student should be left behind,” especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, while calling for policies to reduce the gap between schools in urban areas and those in remote or less developed regions.
On this occasion, the Party General Secretary awarded Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and Cau Giay Secondary School with 100 scholarships for outstanding students, and a state-of-the-art STEM lab each.
