Party chief To Lam pays tribute to President Ho Chi Minh in Nghe An
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam on January 29 paid floral tribute and offered incense in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at Chung Son Temple and the Special National Relic Site of Kim Lien in Nghe An province, as part of his working trip to the province.
The Party leader was joined by members of the Politburo, Secretariat and Party Central Committee, as well as leaders of the Government and central ministries, sectors and local authorities.
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, General Secretary To Lam and the delegation expressed profound gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh – the founder and leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a national liberation hero and an outstanding figure of the international communist and workers’ movement, who devoted his entire life to national liberation and to the cause of peace and happiness for the Vietnamese people and people around the world.
The Party chief reported on the highly successful outcomes of the recent 14th National Party Congress, which reaffirmed the Party’s strategic autonomy, self-reliance and aspiration for a prosperous and happy nation. He pledged continued unity and determination to effectively implement the Congress’s Resolution, turning aspirations into reality and advancing the country’s fast and sustainable development in the new era.
At the Kim Lien relic site, the General Secretary wrote in the guestbook, expressing deep emotion when visiting President Ho Chi Minh’s homeland, where a great personality was nurtured and from which the path to national salvation and independence was illuminated. He vowed to continue studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics and style, always placing the interests of the nation and the people above all else.
General Secretary To Lam called on Nghe An province, the management board of the Special National Relic Site of Kim Lien and local residents to continue preserving and promoting the site with a strong sense of responsibility, so that it remains a “red address” for educating future generations about revolutionary traditions.

President Ho Chi Minh, then known as Nguyen Ai Quoc, was the founder, leader and mentor of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He presided over a conference to unify communist organisations in Hong Kong (China), leading to the official establishment of the Party on February 3, 1930, a milestone that marked a historic turning point in the Vietnamese revolution.
