Party chief pays tribute to late General Secretary Ha Huy Tap
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary and State President To Lam on April 21 offered incense and flowers in tribute to late Party General Secretary Ha Huy Tap at his memorial site in Cam Hung commune, Ha Tinh province, marking the 120th anniversary of his birth.
The top leader was accompanied by senior Party officials, including Politburo member and Standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Sy Thanh; Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Trinh Van Quyet; and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Policies and Strategies Nguyen Thanh Nghi, along with other ministers,
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the Party General Secretary and President To Lam and the delegation expressed deep gratitude for the great contributions of the late Party leader, who devoted his life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
Born and raised in a land rich in revolutionary tradition, Ha Huy Tap was imbued early with the spirit of patriotic intellectuals, living with ideals for the people and the country. His revolutionary career spanned 16 years, including nearly two years serving as General Secretary of the Party from October 1936 to March 1938.
During one of the most challenging periods of the revolution, he, together with the Party Central Committee, led the revolutionary movement through numerous hardships, helping advance the Party’s cause.
The late leader was also an outstanding political theorist of the Party, contributing to the drafting of key Party documents and writing extensively to promote revolutionary awareness among the people.
His life and legacy continue to inspire future generations to remain steadfast and to pursue the path chosen by the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and the Vietnamese people.
