VOV.VN - Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and a Government delegation offered incense and flowers in commemoration of fallen heroes at the Dong Loc T-junction historical site in central ha Tinh province on April 19.
In a solemn ceremony, the Prime Minister and delegates laid wreaths and offered incense at the national memorial stele dedicated to youth volunteers, where more than 4,000 fallen heroes are honoured.
The delegation also paid tribute at the tomb of the 10 female youth volunteers of Dong Loc, who sacrificed their lives during the resistance war against American imperialism.
Paying respect to the fallen, the Prime Minister expressed profound gratitude for the sacrifices made by previous generations for the country’s independence and freedom, while reaffirming the determination to uphold revolutionary traditions and build a more prosperous and developed Vietnam.
The Dong Loc T-junction is a special national historical site associated with the sacrifice of 10 female youth volunteers in 1968 while ensuring traffic flow along a key supply route to the southern battlefield. The site remains an important destination for patriotic education and remembrance of those who gave their lives for the nation.
