National Assembly Standing Committee to hold 54th session on Feb. 3
VOV.VN - The 54th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee is scheduled to take place on February 3 at the Tan Trao Hall of the National Assembly Building in Hanoi, according to the National Assembly’s Office.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man will deliver the opening remarks, while Vice Chairpersons of the National Assembly will take turns chairing the session.
During the half-day meeting, the Standing Committee will consider and adopt two resolutions, with one on supplementing special mechanisms and policies for investment in the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project, and another on the second adjustment of the structure, composition and number of persons from central and local agencies and organisations to be nominated as candidates for deputies to the 16th National Assembly.
Regarding oversight work, the Standing Committee will also review the National Assembly’s public petitions report for January 2026.
Lawmakers pass national target programme for rural, ethnic minority development
VOV.VN - The National Assembly on December 11 approved a resolution to implement a national target programme for new-style rural development, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2026–2035.
