Lawmakers grill ministers about finance and education issues
VOV.VN - The National Assembly commenced its questioning session as part of its ninth session in Hanoi on June 18, focusing on two major topics of finance and education-training.

Finance Minister Nguyen Van Thang is to field questions relating to financial solutions to support socio-economic development, ensure growth targets, renew traditional growth drivers, and foster new growth drivers.
He will talks about measures to enhance the efficiency of state-owned enterprises; policies to support and promote the private sector as the main driving force of the economy; strategies to attract more foreign direct investment; and mechanisms and policies to encourage investment and development in industrial parks and economic zones.
Deputy Prime Ministers Ho Duc Phoc and Nguyen Chi Dung, along with ministers from the Ministries of Industry and Trade; Agriculture and Environment; Construction; Science and Technology; and Foreign Affairs, will engage in providing further explanations and clarifications.
In the field of education and training, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son will directly respond to questions relating to the current state and solutions for improving the quality of higher education, to develop a high-quality workforce for the economy.
He will address the implementation of legal regulations on private tutoring, outline measures to ensure a safe, healthy, and friendly educational environment, discuss efforts to prevent school violence, and highlight actions to maintain food hygiene and safety in schools.
On this topic, participating alongside will be Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and ministers from the Ministries of Finance; Home Affairs; Health; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Science and Technology; and Public Security.
The Prime Minister or an authorised Deputy Prime Minister will also take part in answering questions and clarifying related issues raised by National Assembly deputies.
The questioning time is set to last two days, with National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man in the chair. It will be broadcast live on the national radio and television system for the public.
