Vietnam proposes increasing business connectivity with Morocco
VOV.VN - Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man proposed that Morocco promote exchanges and partnerships between the business communities of both countries, during his meeting with Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch in Rabat on July 25, as part of his official visit to Morocco.

He also proposed that Morocco facilitate favourable visa procedures for Vietnamese citizens to support business connectivity, as well as people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Chairman Man conveyed greetings from Vietnamese leaders and briefed his host on activities during his visit, aiming to deepen parliamentary and bilateral ties. He highlighted the growing political trust between the two parliaments, citing regular exchanges and cooperation at international forums such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Francophone Parliamentary Assembly (APF).
To mark 65 years of diplomatic ties in 2026, he said, the two countries should increase mutual high-level visits, expand economic and trade cooperation, facilitate market access for their key products, and negotiate and sign a new trade agreement in line with their current developments.
Prime Minister Akhannouch, for his part, welcomed Vietnam’s proposals and said both sides need to make greater efforts to elevate their economic and trade cooperation to a level that matches their strong political ties and respective potential.
He expressed his desire to visit Vietnam soon, accompanied by a Moroccan business delegation, to promote bilateral economic cooperation and boost Morocco’s tourism promotion efforts.
The Prime Minister also emphasised Morocco's focus on infrastructure development, especially in preparation for co-hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup, and encouraged Vietnamese companies to explore investment opportunities in the country.
Both sides agreed to increase two-way investment and trade, serve as gateways for each other into Southeast Asia and North Africa, and support the Vietnamese community and people of Vietnamese descent living in Morocco, encouraging their integration and contributions to bilateral ties.
