Vietnam extends condolences to Iran over President Raisi’s death
VOV.VN - Vietnamese leaders on May 20 offered condolences to the Iranian government over the death of President Ebrahim Raisi in the May 19 helicopter crash.

The condolences were sent by Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Acting President of Iran Mohammad Mokhber.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man extended condolences to Speaker of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
On the same day, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son also sent condolences to Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani.
Rescue teams found the wreckage of the helicopter in a fog-shrouded western mountain region on May 20. The crash killed Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and some senior officials on board the helicopter.
