Vietnam and India hold policy planning dialogue in New Delhi
VOV.VN - Vietnam and India shared experiences in formulating foreign policy and strategic priorities, and discussed various regional and global issues of mutual interest during the fourth policy planning dialogue in New Delhi on March 4.

The Vietnamese delegation was led by Le Dinh Tinh, director-general of the Department of Policy Planning under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Indian delegation was led by Raghuram S., joint secretary of the Policy Planning and Research Division at the Ministry of External Affairs.
At the meeting, India acknowledged Vietnam’s notable achievements in socio-economic development and foreign policy, and emphasized the importance of strategic dialogue.
Vietnam expressed its desire to strengthen cooperation with India in economic, trade, and science and technology sectors.
Both sides exchanged views on regional and global issues, including developments in the Indo-Pacific region, multilateral institutions, and priorities of the Global South countries.
During their stay from March 2-5, the Vietnamese delegation also held meetings with leading Indian think tanks, such as the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), Observer Research Foundation (ORF), and Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA).
These discussions focused on shifts in the international and regional order, ASEAN’s central role and the importance of enhancing connectivity and cooperation between research institutions in both countries.
During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation also paid a courtesy call to Jaideep Mazumdar, secretary (East) at the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, to further highlight the significance of strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
