He affirmed that the visit marks an important milestone, contributing to deepening mutual understanding, political trust, and especially legislative cooperation between the two countries.
President Cuong emphasised that Vietnam always attaches great importance to developing traditional friendship with Egypt, the first African country to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam in 1963.
The recent upgrade of bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Partnership, along with the signing of various cooperation agreements during the visit, lays a solid foundation to expand cooperation between the two legislative bodies, including delegation exchanges, experience sharing in law-making and legal oversight, and monitoring the implementation of bilateral agreements, he said.

President Abdel-Razeq affirmed the Egyptian Senate’s desire to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam’s National Assembly and pledged to take all necessary measures to support the two States and Governments in effectively implementing existing commitments and cooperation plans, for the benefit of both peoples.
President Cuong highlighted the vast potential for further bilateral cooperation, particularly in economics, trade, and investment, which remains untapped compared to the strong political relationship and respective advantages of both countries. He called for close coordination between the two legislative bodies to support the effective implementation of bilateral cooperation mechanisms, finalise legal frameworks, promote business cooperation, and facilitate market access and people-to-people exchanges.
The two leaders agreed to enhance the role of parliamentary diplomacy by increasing exchanges of delegations between the two legislative bodies. They committed to promoting exchanges between young and female parliamentarians and closer coordination between the Arab Parliament and the Asian Parliamentary Assembly at multilateral parliamentary forums.
