Ahram, one of Egypt’s most popular newspapers, reported that during President Cuong’s State visit, the two countries agreed to elevate their relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership. The upgrade was also widely reported by other major Egyptian newspapers such as Egyptian Gazette, Al Akhbar, and Al Gomhouria.

Egyptian Gazette highlighted that discussions between President El Sisi and President Cuong emphasised the importance of enhancing coordination to develop effective mechanisms for boosting cooperation, trade, and investment between the two countries.

With the headline “Egypt-Vietnam Relations: Renewed Cooperation and Strategic Partnership under President El Sisi”, the Arabic edition of Ahram reviewed key milestones in the over 60-year-long history of friendly relations between the two countries since diplomatic ties were established in 1963. The article affirmed that under President El Sisi’s leadership, Egypt–Vietnam relations have continued to be nurtured, renewed, and upgraded, marked by high-level mutual visits and the signing of numerous cooperation agreements.

Meanwhile, Al Akhbar reported that alongside measures to strengthen bilateral ties, the talks between President El Sisi and President Cuong in Cairo also focused on regional and international issues of shared concern, including the situation in Gaza and the two-state solution to the Palestine–Israel conflict.

Another key activity highlighted by many Egyptian newspapers was the meeting between President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly in the New Administrative Capital. Al Gomhouria reported that during the meeting, Prime Minister Madbouly expressed a strong desire to deepen cooperation between the two countries across multiple fields.

On economic cooperation, Prime Minister Madbouly proposed the establishment of a Joint Egypt–Vietnam Business Council to promote exchanges between business communities and strengthen trade and investment partnerships.

At the conclusion of the meeting, President Cuong and Prime Minister Madbouly directed the foreign ministries and relevant agencies of both countries to actively implement the agreement to upgrade bilateral ties to a Comprehensive Partnership, as agreed upon by the two presidents.
