Venezuelan President Maduro congratulates newly elected President Luong Cuong

On his Instagram account, Maduro extended his warmest greetings and congratulations to Luong Cuong, and affirmed that Venezuela will continue efforts to enhance the relationship with Vietnam.

On the same day, Venezuelan media outlets and various social media platforms reported on the eighth session of the 15th National Assembly of Vietnam, which elected General Luong Cuong as President of Vietnam. They also published the full text of President Nicolas Maduro’s congratulatory message to President Luong Cuong.

General Luong Cuong is also Politburo member and Permanent Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee.

Also on October 21, Chairman of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) and President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, along with Vice President Rosario Murillo, congratulated General Luong Cuong on his being elected President of Vietnam.

Sending wishes for peace and prosperity to the Vietnamese people, the Nicaragua leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continue efforts to strengthen the historic friendship and solidarity between the two countries.
