PM Pham Minh Chinh pays tribute to former Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in Hanoi

VOV.VN - Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on November 1 paid his tribute to former Chinese Premier Li Keqiang who passed away last week, at the Embassy of China in Hanoi.

PM Pham Minh Chinh signed the Book of Condolence opening at the Embassy of China in commemoration of the former Chinese Premier.

Li died of a sudden heart attack in Shanghai last week at the age of 68, according to Chinese state media.

The former premier was a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the 17th, 18th and 19th Chinese Communist Party Central Committees. His passing occurred less than a year after retiring from a decade in office.

Earlier, top Vietnamese leaders, including Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, sent a message of condolence to top Chinese leaders and the family of the former Premier.

In the message, the Vietnamese leaders highly appreciated Li’s contributions to Chinese development, as well as to the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.
