PM arrives in China for WEF Annual Meeting of New Champions
VOV.VN - Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived at Zhoushuizi International Airport of Dalian city, Liaoning province, on June 24 morning, beginning his four-day working trip to China where he will also attend the 15th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting of the New Champions.

The Prime Minister is being accompanied by leaders of a number of ministries in charge of foreign affairs, industry and trade, transport, information and communications, agriculture and rural development, national defense, and public security.
They were welcomed at the airport by Deputy Governor of Liaoning Jin Guowei, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo, Deputy Mayor of Dalian City Leng Xuefeng and Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai.
During his stay, Chinh will attend and speak at the WEF sessions; chair a dialogue session with leaders of major corporations of WEF, alongside WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab; and host discussions with innovative businesses. He will have bilateral meetings with leaders of countries, international organizations, and WEF businesses within the framework of the forum.
The Vietnamese PM will have talks and meetings with senior Chinese leaders, and meet with a number of large Chinese organizations and economic groups.
The 15th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting of the New Champions dubbed WEF Davos which brings together 1,600 delegates will discuss new growth drivers aimed at shaping economies in the future.
This is the second time in a row that the Vietnamese Prime Minister has been invited by and WEF and China to take part in the meeting, showing WEF and China highly value Vietnam’s position, role and contributions to global economic growth as well as its development vision for the future economy.
The meeting presents an opportunity for Vietnam to promote its growth and socio-economic development achievements, conveying a strong message about Vietnam which is a dynamic, innovative, and attractive destination for global corporations.
It is also an opportunity for Vietnam to increase exchanges and enhance relations with other countries, partners, and international organizations, thus affirming its role and position in the international community, contributing to realizing the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress.
