NA Vice Chairman receives head of World University Service
VOV.VN - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai on October 6 hosted a reception for Dr. Kambiz Ghawami, President of the World University Service (WUS) and authorised representative of the German state of Hessen, who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

Welcoming Dr. Ghawami, Hai highly appreciated the guest’s contributions to strengthening the friendly relations, cooperation, and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Germany, particularly with the state of Hessen which has developed a long-standing and close cooperative relationship with Vietnam over the years.
The National Assembly Vice Chairman reaffirmed Vietnam’s strong commitment to furthering its Strategic Partnership with Germany in general and with the state of Hessen in particular. He underlined the importance of population policy as a key driver of economic growth and emphasised the need for forward-looking policies to encourage the development of a young and dynamic workforce for the future.
The NA Vice Chairman noted the growing substance and effectiveness of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. He expressed his hope for continued collaboration in education and training, knowledge exchange, and experience sharing in areas where Germany holds strong expertise, such as digital governance, digital transformation, science and technology transfer, and public financial management. He also called for enhanced cooperation in promoting the Vietnam-Germany University and for joint activities in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of Hessen.
For his part, Dr. Ghawami praised the effective performance of the Vietnamese National Assembly and expressed interest in the draft Population Law, which is expected to be presented at the upcoming 10th session of the National Assembly.
He pledged to continue meaningful contributions to the deepening and effective development of the Vietnam–Germany Strategic Partnership. He voiced confidence that parliamentary cooperation, particularly with Hessen, would continue to grow stronger and more fruitful in the years to come.
