NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man warmly welcomed in Senegal on official visit
VOV.VN - President of the National Assembly El Malick Ndiaye hosted a welcoming ceremony in Dakar on July 23 for Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man and the high-level Vietnamese delegation on an official visit to Senegal.

The Senegalese leader welcomed the top Vietnamese legislator at the vehicle arrival area and invited him to the position of honour. The national anthems of both countries were played by the military band, followed by a review of the guard of honour by both parliamentary leaders.
Following the ceremony, both host and guest had a retreat meeting before holding talks and signed a cooperation agreement between the two legislative bodies.
This is the first official visit by a top Vietnamese leader to Senegal since 1973. The visit affirms Vietnam’s consistent foreign policy of valuing friendship with African countries, including Senegal. It plays an important role in strengthening political trust, deepening bilateral ties, and boosting multifaceted cooperation, particularly parliamentary cooperation, while creating a legal framework for the two governments and businesses to enhance collaboration in the coming time.
The visit is also expected to open new prospects for cooperation and bring the Vietnam–Senegal relationship to a deeper, more substantive level. It will pave the way for stronger partnerships in various fields such as trade, agriculture, science, technology, and people-to-people exchanges.
Senegalese news agencies and media outlets such as APS, Le Soleil, and Seneweb highlighted the significance of the visit, stressing that it aims to reinforce political trust, deepen friendly relations, and create momentum for expanded multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, including inter-parliamentary collaboration.
