NA Chairman concludes working trip to Switzerland, Morocco, and Senegal
VOV.VN - A high-ranking Vietnamese delegation led by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man returned to Hanoi on July 31 (local time), concluding their nine-day working trip to Switzerland, Morocco and Senegal.

During the official visits to Senegal and Morocco, Chairman Tran Thanh Man held talks and meetings with top leaders of both countries, attended the Vietnam–Senegal Policy Dialogue, and the Vietnam–Morocco Policy Dialogue. A total of eight cooperation agreements were signed during the visits.
A notable highlight was the Chairman’s participation in a policy roundtable in Switzerland titled “Developing and Operating an International Financial Centre and Recommendations for Vietnam” on July 28. The roundtable took place in the context of Vietnam’s National Assembly having passed Resolution No. 222 on June 27, 2025, approving the establishment of an international financial centre in Vietnam. Through the event, Vietnam wanted to learn from Switzerland’s experience in managing and operating its financial centres.
In addition to engaging in dialogues with parliamentary leaders in Senegal and Morocco, the Chairman signed bilateral cooperation agreements between Vietnam’s National Assembly and the parliaments of both countries.
The Chairman also took time to meet with staff of the Vietnamese embassies and the overseas Vietnamese communities in each country, listening to and addressing concerns of the expatriates.
While staying in Geneva, Switzerland, Chairman Man attended the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), in close collaboration with the United Nations on July 29. In his keynote speech at the plenary session, he conveyed the message of promoting parliamentary cooperation, solidarity, and multilateralism for the benefit of all people around the world.
He also held a number of bilateral meetings with senior leaders of foreign parliaments.
During the working trip, other leaders of the National Assembly, Government and several ministries and sectors conducted more than 10 working sessions and meetings with leaders of foreign parliaments, government ministries, and United Nations agencies.
The successful trip significantly enhanced mutual understanding and political trust, and contributed to deepening and expanding Vietnam’s relations with other countries, especially through parliamentary diplomacy.
