Hungarian NA Speaker Laszlo Kover concludes Vietnam visit
VOV.VN - Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Laszlo Kover left Hanoi on October 22, successfully concluding his official four-day visit to Vietnam, at the invitation of Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

During his stay, Speaker Kover held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Chairman Man, and met with President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
The Vietnamese leaders welcomed Speaker Kover’s return to Vietnam after a decade, emphasising the significance of the visit, which coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1950–2025). They noted that the visit contributes to further consolidating traditional friendship and enhancing parliamentary cooperation.
Both sides agreed that economic, trade, and investment cooperation remains a key pillar of the bilateral relationship. They committed to promoting this cooperation further, in line with the strong political trust between the two countries.
The leaders exchanged views on strategic directions to increase the effectiveness and substance of Vietnam–Hungary relations. They agreed to promote high-level visits and exchanges across all channels to deepen mutual trust and understanding; strengthen inter-parliamentary collaboration; and share experience and information related to parliamentary activities and enhance cooperation in monitoring the implementation of high-level agreements.
The two sides also agreed on the main theme of the upcoming 6th Vietnam–Hungary legislative conference, expected to take place in the first half of 2026. They pledged continued coordination and mutual support at regional and global inter-parliamentary forums, contributing to peace, cooperation, and development.
As part of his visit, Speaker Kover and his delegation observed a session of the 10th sitting of Vietnam’s 15th National Assembly, gaining direct insights into the legislative activities of the host country.
