Congratulations to newly elected Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian
VOV.VN - Vietnamese President To Lam on July 17 sent a congratulatory telegram to Masoud Pezeshkian on his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Pezeshkian, who is a cardiac surgeon and reformist politician, won Iran’s presidential election early this month against ultraconservative candidate Saeed Jalili.
The 69-year-old politician will be sworn in before parliament in early August as the Islamic Republic’s ninth president to succeed Ebrahim Raisi who died in a helicopter crash in May.
