Chinese Hong Kong chief executive Lee Ka-chiu to visit Vietnam
VOV.VN - Chief Executive of China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Lee Ka-chiu will pay a working visit to Vietnam from July 31 to August 2.
The visit has been made at the invitation of Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on July 29.
Lee, 67, is a Hong Kong politician. He was elected chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on May 8, 2022 with 99.2% of vote in favour.
Lee joined the Hong Kong police force in 1977 and then worked as Deputy Commissioner of Police. He also held positions as Under Secretary for Security and Secretary for Security of Hong Kong.
The politician ran for the post of Hong Kong’s Chief Executive in May 2022 and won the election. He was the only candidate. He took office on July 1, 2022.
