Gillian Bird, Australia’s Ambassador to Vietnam, congratulated Vietnam’s new leadership and reaffirmed Australia’s readiness to further deepen the partnership.

These efforts will help deliver sustainable and inclusive growth for both our nations,” Ambassador Bird added.

The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam took place in Hanoi from January 19-23. The Congress elected the Party Central Committee, Political Bureau, Secretariate, Central Inspection Commission. General Secretary To Lam was re-elected for the new term.
