Leading hotels, brands offer diversified Mid-Autumn mooncakes

In the forthcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, Saigon Bakery will present new flavors and packaging for its Baked Skin Mooncakes featuring flavors of Mixed Nut, White Lotus, Black Sesame, Red Bean, Green Tea and Tiramisu.

New World Saigon Hotel

Saigon Bakery’s mooncakes are priced at VND850,000 for a box of four or six pieces. 

Customers buying 10 to 20 boxes will receive a 5% discount while those purchasing 21 to 149 boxes will get a 10% discount and buyers of 150 boxes or more will enjoy a 15% discount. 

The hotel will offer free delivery service for customers in districts 1 and 3 with orders for 50 boxes or more. Orders can be placed from now to September 15. For bookings, call 08 3829 4000 ext. 2128.

Park Hyatt Saigon

The Park Hyatt Saigon mooncake collection will consist of four cakes in different shapes, combining traditional and contemporary flavors.

Pure Lotus Double Yolk, consisting of pure lotus paste and double golden premium salted egg yolk, is wrapped in Cantonese pastry and is good for yolk lovers. Those who love contemporary mooncakes can enjoy them with premium green tea.

The mixed nuts in Cantonese pastry contain almonds, walnuts and melon kernel seeds. Especially, the brand-new red bean and marmalade mung bean mooncakes contain red bean paste with melon kernel seeds and marmalade mung beans and orange peel wrapped in Cantonese pastry.

Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers

The hotel offers a range of homemade mooncakes. Sheraton Saigon Mooncakes come with seven flavors with or without egg yolks, namely White Lotus, Pandan, Green Tea, X.O, Cranberry, Pomelo and Mixed Nut. Mooncakes will be available for sale from August 2 to September 15.

A box of four (220 grams each) is priced at VND1,088,000 net while a medium-sized box of four (150 grams each) comes with a price tag of VND888,000 net. 

Prices of 220-gram and 150-gram pieces are VND270,000 net per item and VND190,000 net per item, respectively. There is a 10% discount to Starwood Preferred Guest, a 10% discount to Star Privilege Vietnam card and a 10% discount to Palazzo Membership card.

Brodard Bakery

Brodard, a popular bakery in town with 60 years’ experience, has launched a brand-new box of mooncakes made of tin and fake leather in oval shape for this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival. 

There are two kinds of box for guests to choose, including the Pearl and the Royal boxes of four cakes, including a tea box.

Guests who buy four boxes of mooncakes will receive one free cookie box. There are 20 Brodard bakeries around town and a showroom at the corner of Dong Khoi and Nguyen Thiep streets in HCMC’s District 1.
