Circus performances excite crowds throughout Hoan Kiem pedestrian street zone

VOV.VN - Approximately 150 local and international circus artists recently took to the walking streets around Hoan Kiem lake to deliver an array of exciting performances to watching tourists as part of the International Circus Festival 2019.

The International Circus Festival 2019 is underway in Hanoi from October 15 to 20. In addition to local performers, the  festival welcome the participation of eight art troupes from Australia, Cambodia, China, Cuba, Egypt, Hungary, Laos, and Singapore.
The walking streets near Hoan Kiem lake host a street parade on October 19 as part of the festival.
In total, the street parade sees some 150 local and international circus artists showcase acrobatics, juggling, balancing, and magic.
Roughly 40 children from the Hanoi Children’s Palace  also participate in the parade, exciting viewers.
Beginning from the crossroads of Trang Tien-Hang Khay, the parade had three stops, including Ly Thai To Monument, Hanoi’s Department of Culture and Information, Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, before concluding at the Ba Trieu-Hang Khay intersection.
 
Each stop sees artists perform for between 10 to 15 minutes.
 
Crowds of local people and foreign tourists line the parade route.
 
 
Organisers note that as well as exciting watching crowds, the event offers a platform for domestic artists to introduce the achievements of Vietnam’s circus to an international audience.
