VinFast hands over first 45 EVs to US customers
VOV.VN - Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast on March 1 delivered its first batch of 45 VF 8 City Edition vehicles to customers in the United States at its nine stores in California.
The event marks a new journey for VinFast in the international market, officially starting with the North American market.
The EVs are part of the first shipment of 999 City Edition vehicles shipped to the US in December 2022.
The next batch of vehicles will be delivered to the VinFast store chain or sent to customers' homes over the coming days.
The VF 8 City Edition comes in both Eco and Plus trim, with the US’ Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) -rated range of 207 miles and 191 miles, respectively.
Both of these models serve to integrate a range of modern technology features such as advanced driving assistance system (ADAS), a suite of smart entertainment, and utility applications (smart services).
With a customer-centric philosophy at its heart, VinFast has also applied a range of outstanding after-sales policies in a bid to ensure convenience for clients, including a 10-year warranty for vehicles and batteries, mobile repair, and a 24/7 rescue service.
Addressing the hand-over ceremony of the EVs, Gareth Dunsmore, deputy general director for Global Sales and Marketing of VinFast, emphasised that the event has captured great attention from US consumers, despite it taking place in the middle of the week.
He added that the company is pleased that customers, including many people of Vietnamese origin, are satisfied with their options.
Along with the handover of the EVs, VinFast will continue to organise large-scale test drive events across California as part of efforts to bring the most realistic experience possible to users.
