Vietnamese products showcased in Algeria to boost trade relations
VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria, in collaboration with Algeria’s largest shopping mall Bab Ezzouar, organized an exhibition booth on February 22 (local time) to introduce Vietnamese products to local consumers in capital Algiers.

The event, part of the embassy’s annual trade promotion activities, attracted a large number of visitors, mainly local residents and representatives of several Algerian import businesses.
At the exhibition stand, visitors had the opportunity to learn about Vietnamese coffee, a favourite item for Algerian consumers, along with other agricultural products and consumer goods. They also attended demonstrations on coffee preparation and sampled the products on-site.
According to Le Ngoc Khanh Linh, an economic diplomacy officer at the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria, in addition to expanding promotional activities to other provinces and cities, the embassy plans to adopt a more targeted approach, focusing on key business partners such as major importers and industry associations in Algeria.
Most local customers who sampled Vietnamese products provided positive feedback, praising their taste and quality. A representative from an Algerian company expressed interest in attending more similar events in the future to learn more about Vietnamese products and enhance bilateral trade ties.
Algeria is considered a large and potential market for several of Vietnam’s key export products, including coffee, tea, pepper, cashews, spices, and pangasius fillets. Coffee is particularly popular in Algeria, as the African country imports an average of 130,000 tonnes of coffee beans annually.
