Vietnamese food and beverage promoted at Foodex Japan 2023
VOV.VN - As many as 36 Vietnamese businesses attended the 48th edition of the international food and beverage exhibition (Foodex Japan 2023) on March 7 in Tokyo.
Several Vietnamese popular names within the agricultural and food industries, including Masan Consumer Goods Joint Stock Company, PAN Group Joint Stock Company, and Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company (Doveco), had a presence at the occasion.
Most notably, Masan debuted the launch of the CHIN-SU spice collection that the group has developed specifically for the Japanese market.
Dinh Hong Van, senior marketing director of Masan Consumer Holding, said investment in products suitable for Japanese culinary culture are primarily aimed at introducing Vietnamese spices and brands to the world.
Masan also plans to launch the CHIN-SU spice collection in the Vietnamese market this March in order to create further opportunities for domestic consumers to sample the new spices.
Jorgre Imai, chairman of Imai Co., Ltd, one of the Japanese companies importing agricultural products and food, said the launch of Masan's CHIN-SU spice collection in the Japanese market represents a positive signal for Vietnamese products, adding that the company encourages pioneering businesses to bring new products to the Far East nation’s market.
Meanwhile, PAN Group also introduced high value-added Vietnamese agricultural products such as pangasius, dried fruit, and coffee, all of which are produced in line with stringent standards by Japanese importers.
Nguyen Thi Tra My, vice chairwoman and CEO of the PAN Group, stressed that the company wants to introduce Vietnamese-branded and deeply processed agricultural products that are capable of competing with products from any country thanks to its high quality.
Nguyen Duc Minh, Chargé d'Affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, said Vietnamese goods have been sold well in Japan over recent years, showing the rising demand of Japanese consumers for Vietnamese goods and the great efforts made by local businesses.
For his part, Ta Duc Minh, Vietnamese Trade Counselor in Japan, took great pride in witnessing Vietnamese agricultural products meeting Japan's strict standards to make their presence at Foodex Japan.
He therefore expressed his belief that after penetrating into this market, Vietnamese products will have the opportunity to make inroads into other demanding markets around the world.
