Vietnamese businesses see rising orders on global e-commerce platforms
VOV.VN - More than half of Vietnamese businesses participating in the Vietnam National Pavilion on major global e-commerce platforms have successfully secured export orders, each worth tens of thousands of US dollars on average.

The information was shared by Nguyen Thanh Duong, Deputy Director of the Centre for Information Technology Application and Digital Transformation in Trade Promotion under the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade), during a conference in Hanoi on September 30.
Duong emphasised that Vietrade has partnered with global giants such as Alibaba, Amazon, and TikTok to implement the Vietnam National Pavilion program designed to help Vietnamese enterprises build their brand presence and sell online globally.
However, he said, many Vietnamese enterprises still face challenges in digital capacity, from operating international e-commerce stores to managing cross-border logistics.
In addition, increasingly strict requirements for traceability, environmental standards, and labour compliance mean businesses can no longer rely solely on low prices but must invest systematically to survive and grow.
To survive and thrive, enterprises must now make strategic, systematic investments in compliance and sustainability, Duong noted.
According to him, Vietrade has cooperated with the Vietnam E-commerce and Digital Economy Agency to create a comprehensive set of indicators measuring digital transformation readiness in trade promotion.
“This tool will help identify strengths and weaknesses, enabling the development of tailored support plans that address the specific needs of each group,” Duong stressed.
The agency is also prioritising practical training for enterprises, covering everything from managing online booths and livestreaming cross-border sales to leveraging AI for advertising and consumer behavior analysis.
Lai Viet Anh, deputy director of the Vietnam E-commerce and Digital Economy Agency, stated that alongside finalising the policy framework, the agency has rolled out multiple initiatives through developing the Vietnam Export Portal, building a dedicated platform to support digital exports, and launching the Go Export programme to help firms build their brands and engage with global e-commerce platforms.
Enterprises are advised to proactively study regulations and product standards, invest in brand development, and adopt digital technologies across management, logistics, and product traceability.
