Vietnamese brands strengthen presence at Carrefour hypermarkets
VOV.VN - Vietnamese brands are strengthening their presence in France’s retail market through Vietnamese Goods Week at Carrefour hypermarkets, launched by the Vietnam Trade Office in France in coordination with T&T Foods, with the official introduction of VIFON products into the retailer’s distribution system.
This year’s programme features VIFON, a Vietnamese food brand with more than 60 years of operations, which is now available on the shelves of one of France’s major retail chains.
Products introduced during the event include instant pho (traditional noodle soup), vermicelli and rice noodles that meet European quality standards, reflecting the growing presence of Vietnamese food products in the European retail market.
At the launch ceremony, Tao Ngoc Tu, Chairman of Tan Viet Group, said VIFON’s entry into Carrefour followed years of preparation and market access efforts. He added that the group plans to gradually expand distribution to other retail systems in France and across Europe.
Franck Kenner, Director of Carrefour’s Integrated Division, said Vietnamese products have seen clear improvements in recent years, particularly in quality, design and packaging, and that these developments have helped them better meet market requirements.
Vu Anh Son, Trade Counsellor and Head of the Vietnam Trade Office in France, said VIFON’s presence at Carrefour highlights the capacity of Vietnamese brands to enter and operate in the European market. He added that the Trade Office will continue to track market developments and support Vietnamese enterprises seeking to expand distribution in Europe.
