Vietnam National Brand Week 2026 set for April 16–23 nationwide

VOV.VN - Vietnam National Brand Week 2026 will be held nationwide from April 16 to 23, aiming to promote and strengthen the country’s brand image.

The event, organised annually by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) in coordination with relevant agencies, plays an important role in shaping and enhancing Vietnam’s national image, associated with the core values of quality, innovation, and pioneering capacity.

It also contributes to improving the competitiveness and reputation of Vietnamese products and services in both domestic and international markets.

According to the MoIT’s Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade), a wide range of activities will take place throughout the week, including Vietnam National Brand International Forum 2026 and a photo exhibition highlighting key achievements of the Vietnam National Brand Programme, among others.

The highlight of the week is Vietnam National Brand International Forum 2026, scheduled from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM on April 16 at the InterContinental Hanoi Westlake Hotel in Hanoi.

Co-organised by Vietrade and RMIT University, the forum will bring together leaders from ministries, sectors, and local authorities, along with domestic and international experts, representatives of international organisations, and the business community.

Through this series of events, Vietnam National Brand Week 2026 is expected to provide a valuable platform for connection, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. It seeks to support Vietnamese enterprises in strengthening their brand-building capabilities amid deepening global integration and intensifying competition.

Last year, Vietnam’s national brand value reached US$519.6 billion, ranking 32nd globally, an increase of 2.5% compared to the previous year and approximately 63% higher than in 2020.

The country currently ranks 52nd out of 193 economies in soft power, reflecting its growing influence on the global stage. In the business and trade pillar, Vietnam ranks 56th, up seven places from the previous year.

To further enhance the national brand, the MoIT has identified green transformation and digitalisation as key priorities for 2026. Businesses will be supported in meeting environmental standards, pursuing sustainable development, and implementing Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting.

Simultaneously, efforts will be made to promote e-commerce on digital platforms and integrate trade promotion with cultural values to showcase Vietnam’s identity worldwide.

According to the MoIT, in the context of deep global integration and increasingly intense competition, brand building is no longer optional, it is essential for business survival. For an export-driven economy like Vietnam, a strong brand is not only an intangible asset but also a “passport” that enables businesses to access and succeed in international markets.
