US$35 million logistics project breaks ground in Hai Phong
VOV.VN - Construction began on the US$35 million EHA Hai Phong Industrial and Logistics Park in the Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park within the Dinh Vu–Cat Hai Economic Zone, northern Vietnam, on January 11.
Spanning nine hectares, the project will develop international-standard ready-built factories and warehouses, targeting manufacturers and logistics firms amid ongoing global supply chain realignment. Factory units will range from 2,500 square metres, while mixed-use facilities will start from 3,300 square metres, according to the developer.
The project’s short-term goal is to build and operate at least 100 hectares of ready-built industrial and logistics facilities within the next two years, positioning Hai Phong as a key destination for foreign investors relocating or expanding production in Southeast Asia.
Chu Viet Ha, Chief Executive Officer of EHA Industrial, said the company’s core development strategy focuses on green, smart and sustainable industrial parks. All EHA-developed projects are designed to meet international green certification standards, integrate advanced technologies to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, and promote circular economy practices.
“Environmental protection, occupational safety and sustainable development are non-negotiable priorities throughout construction and operation,” Ha said.
The groundbreaking ceremony marked EHA Industrial’s first major project in Hai Phong and underscored its commitment to developing high-quality, environmentally responsible industrial real estate, contributing to the city’s long-term economic growth strategy.
Nguyen Viet Ha, General Director of Thang Long Corporation, praised EHA Industrial’s vision and execution capacity, noting the project’s alignment with Hai Phong’s ambition to become a leading industrial and logistics hub in northern Vietnam.
The investor and its contractors pledged close coordination with local authorities during implementation, prioritising local employment, supporting vocational training, and applying digital solutions in project management and operations to maximise economic and social benefits.
Hai Phong, which is home to Vietnam’s largest northern seaport system, continues to attract industrial and logistics investment as global manufacturers diversify supply chains and expand production capacity in the region.
