US State of California explores investment environment in Long An
VOV.VN - A delegation from the US State of California led by Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao held a working session with leaders of the Mekong delta province of Long An on August 8.
Addressing the meeting, Mayor Thao expressed her hope that the visit would help US businesses gain greater insights into the southern locality’s investment environment whilst further strengthening ties between the two localities, especially between the US’ Port of Oakland and Long An International Port.
In response, Nguyen Van Duoc, secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee, welcomed Thao’s visit which he said demonstrates US partners’ trust in the locality as a safe and stable investment destination.
Long An will continue to expand the sustainable cooperation relationship moving forward and welcome US investors to conduct business in the province, he assured his guest.
According to the Long An Provincial People's Committee, the US currently ranks sixth among about 40 foreign investors in Long An with 23 projects capitalised at over US$484 million.
