Retail petrol prices up again in latest adjustment
VOV.VN - The retail prices of petrol were revised up to more than VND19,000 per litre from 3 p.m. on June 5 in a price adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Finance.
The latest price review saw E5 RON 92 rise by VND70 per litre to a maximum of VND19,260 per litre, while that of RON95-III edged up by VND130 per litre to VND19,690 per litre.
Similarly, the price of oil was also adjusted upward, with diesel going up by VND290 to VND17,420 per litre, and kerosene by VND180 to VND17,280 per litre.
In contrast, Mazut oil 180CST 3.5S was sold at VND16,170, down by VND90 per kilogramme compared to the previous price adjustment a week ago.
Since the beginning of this year, petrol prices have been adjusted 23 times, including 12 increases and 11 reductions for RON95-III, and 13 hikes and 10 cuts for E5 RON 92.
Oil prices have also seen 11 increases, 11 decreases and 1 unchanged adjustment during the same period.
During the latest price adjustment period from May 29 to June 5, the global oil market was influenced by several factors, including an increase in US crude oil inventories, new US tariff policies introduced by the Trump administration targeting multiple countries, and the upcoming OPEC+ meeting regarding plans to increase supply.
These factors caused fluctuations in global oil prices in recent days, but the overall trend has been upward, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.
