Retail petrol prices up after five consecutive decreases

VOV.VN - Retail prices of petrol were adjusted up as of 3 p.m. on August 15 following five consecutive decreases.

In the latest price adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Finance, RON95-III, the most commonly used fuel in Vietnam, edged up by VND180 to VND21,850 per litre.

The price of E5 RON 92 biofuel was also revised up by VND170 to a maximum of VND20,880 per litre.

Elsewhere, the prices of diesel 0.05S and kerosene were capped at VND19,230 per litre and VND19,570 per litre, rising by VND90 and VND160 per litre, respectively.

Meanwhile, Mazut 180CST 3.5S was sold at no more than VND16,240 per kilogram, up VND220 per kilogram.

For the latest price adjustment, the two ministries decided not to extract the petrol price stabilization fund. This has marked the 43rd time the petrol price stabilization fund has not been used since October 2023.

Since the beginning of this year, petrol prices have undergone 32 adjustments, with 17 times up and 15 times down. Meanwhile, oil prices have experienced 15 times up and 17 times down.
