Petrol prices record fifth consecutive decrease

VOV.VN - Retail prices of oil and petrol recorded the third consecutive fall from 3pm on August 8, following the latest adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Finance.

Accordingly, the price of biofuel E5 RON92 was capped at VND20,715 per litre, dropping by VND901 per litre, while that of RON95-III was cut by VND930 per litre to no more than VND21,673.

Meanwhile, oil prices were also adjusted down, with diesel oil and kerosene being sold for a maximum of VND19,141 per litre and 19,411 per litre, decreasing by VND737 and VND684 per litre, respectively.

Mazut 180CST 3.5S was sold at no more than VND16,028 per kilo, dropping by VND858 per kilo.

For the latest price adjustment, the two ministries decided not to extract the petrol price stabilization fund.

Since the beginning of this year, petrol prices have experienced 16 times up and 16 times down.
