Reference exchange rate down by VND2 at week’s beginning
The State Bank of Vietnam set its reference VND/USD exchange rate at VND22,451/USD on the morning of October 16, down by VND2 from the end of last week.

With the current /- 3% VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate is VND23,125 per USD and the floor rate is VND21,777 per USD.
Major commercial banks kept their rates quite stable.
Vietcombank offered its buying and selling rates at VND22,680 and VND22,750, per USD, down by VND5 compared with the end of last week.
Vietinbank and BIDV set VND22,685 (buying) and VND22,755 (selling), per USD, unchanged from the end of last week.
