PM requests double-digit growth scenarios for national economy in 2025
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has recently signed an official dispatch, asking ministries, sectors, and localities to develop scenarios for achieving double-digit economic growth in 2025.
The dispatch notes that the year 2025 holds special significance as it is the final year of implementing the five-year socio-economic development plan for 2021-2025. It is a year for acceleration and breakthrough, creating the foundation and conditions for implementing the socio-economic development plan for 2026-2030.
To strive for the highest achievement of socio-economic development goals and targets for the 2021-2025 period, aiming for double-digit growth in the 2026-2030 period, the PM requested ministries, agencies and localities to give top priority to promoting strong growth linked to macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, ensuring major balances, and obtaining a high surplus.
The goal is to achieve double-digit economic growth for the entire country in 2025, and this is not only a challenge but also a strong aspiration for the country to rise in a new era of national advancement, said the PM.
To successfully fulfil this goal, ministries, agencies, and localities must decisively and effectively implement strategic breakthroughs, key tasks, and main solutions already outlined in the resolutions and conclusions of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government, he added.
He stressed the need to continue renewing and further boosting traditional growth drivers (investment, consumption, and exports), and at the same time to create breakthroughs and strongly promote new growth drivers (science-technology, innovation, and digitalization).
The focus should be on restructuring sectors and industries, enhancing labour productivity, and improving the competitiveness of the economy, he said.
According to the Prime Minister, it is essential to mobilize all available social resources for development, effectively utilize resources from state-owned enterprises, and promote the growth of private enterprises.
In addition, he held it’s important to continue to perfect institutional frameworks, remove bottlenecks, accelerate administrative reforms, and significantly reduce administrative procedures in an effort to further improve the investment and business environment.
