The ministries decided to increase expenditure for the petrol price stabilisation fund by VND150 per litre for E5 RON 92, VND300 per litre for RON 95, and the same VND300 per litre for diesel and kerosene, respectively.
So far this year, petroleum products have undergone 11 price adjustments, with 7 increases, 3 drops, and an unchanged time.
According to the two ministries, the world petroleum market from April 3 to 11 was influenced by various factors. Notably, the group of oil producing nations has announced a cut of 1.6 million barrels a day from May to support market stability.
Besides, many experts said inflationary pressure and a tight monetary policy introduced by major economies affected the global economic recovery, prompting the oil market to fluctuate strongly in recent times.
