Petrol prices drop in latest review
VOV.VN - The retail prices of oil and petrol were adjusted down as of 3 p.m. on January 4 following a decision made by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
According to the latest changes, the retail price of RON95-III was reduced by VND232 per litre to a maximum level of VND21,916 per litre, while the ceiling price of E5 RON92 was cut by VND180 per litre to reach VND21,006 per litre.
Elsewhere, the review saw diesel 0.05S VND420 cheaper at VND19,368 per litre, whilst kerosene stands VND500 lower at VND19,957 per litre.
Furthermore, Mazut 180CST 3.5S is to be sold at no more than VND15,495, down VND190 per kilogramme.
In the latest price adjustment, the two ministries decided to make use of the petrol price stabilisation fund for mazut oil. These changes therefore mark the first adjustment of petrol and oil prices this year.
In 2023 petrol prices underwent a total of 37 adjustments, including 19 rises, 14 drops, and four times when they remained unchanged.
