Petrol prices record sharp increase in latest adjustment

VOV.VN - The retail prices of petrol were revised up by around VND700 per litre as of 4 p.m. on December 21 in the latest adjustment made by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

According to the most recent changes, the price of E5 RON 92 petrol went up by VND687 per litre to reach VND21,199, while that of RON 95 rose by VND740 to reach VND22,145 per litre.

The prices of diesel and kerosene were capped at VND19,524 and VND20,494, marking increases of VND514 and VND530 to per litre, respectively. 

Meanwhile, the price of mazut witnessed an increase of VND287 to VND15,265 per kilogramme.

In this latest price adjustment, the two ministries decided to make use of the petrol price stabilisation fund for mazut oil. Since the outset of the year, petrol prices have undergone a total of 37 adjustments, including 19 rises, 14 drops, and four times when they remained unchanged.
