Over 200 domestic and foreign firms attend HCM City Foodex 2023
VOV.VN - More than 200 local and foreign businesses participated in the Ho Chi Minh City Foodex 2023 on June 28 as a means of seeking partners and further expanding their distribution networks.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Duong Anh Duc, vice chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, pointed out that the event provides an opportunity for local processed food exporters to research and develop fresh products in order to meet the current consumer trends, while also introducing advanced technologies in the field of food production and processing.
Leading brands in the food industry of Ho Chi Minh City made their presence at the function, including Vinamilk, Bidrico, Ion life, Cholimex, Satra, Vissan, Omeli, and Mikko.
Tran Phu Lu, director of Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center, said the expo has also contributed to attracting further investment resources, thereby elevating the image of the Vietnamese agriculture and processing industry. This is along with creating a positive environment to accelerate the development of the food industry in a fast and sustainable manner.
HCMC FOODEX 2023 is expected to attract 15,000 visitors. The event also offers an ideal venue for businesses to stay updated on the latest information on trends in production, consumption, and orientations for potential export markets, thereby connecting food producers with modern supermarkets, e-commerce channels, and international buyers.
