First batch of Dak Lak macadamia shipped to RoK market
VOV.VN - Nutrisol Import-Export Joint Stock Company held a ceremony in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on January 3 to mark the first official export of Dak Lak macadamia container to the Republic of Korean (RoK) market.
This is the province’s first export shipment of agricultural products in the new year.
The 10-tonne batch of macadamia nuts has undergone stringent inspections by specialised agencies in terms of pest control, food safety and hygiene, packaging specifications, and origin traceability.
The products are expected to hit the shelves of leading supermarket chains in the RoK in the coming days.
Addressing the ceremony, Huynh Ngoc Duong, deputy director of the Dak Lak provincial Department of Industry and Trade, emphasised that the official export of macadamia nuts to the RoK after Japan has opened up fresh opportunities for the product to gain greater entry to other Asian countries and around the world.
He revealed that the RoK is a potential market for local agricultural products, and that the importer is an enterprise located in Jelabook province.
Jelabook and Dak Lak signed a cooperation agreement on economic, cultural, and social development in 2017, giving the Vietnamese locality the chance to export its products to the Korean locality and other markets in the region.
