Domestic gold rings hit record-breaking VND90.55 million per tael
VOV.VN - The price of gold rings in Vietnam rose by VND800,000 on the morning of February 4 to reach a record high of VND90.55 million per tael, driven by rising global prices, according to local media reports.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company bought and sold gold rings at VND88.5 million and VND90.55 million per tael on the opening trading session of the day, marking an increase of VND800,000 compared to the previous trading session.
Elsewhere, Phu Quy Company and Saigon Gold and Jewelry Company rated each tael of SJC gold rings at VND88.4 million and VND88.1 million for buying and VND90.4 million and VND90.1 million for selling, respectively.
Meanwhile, the price of gold bars at Saigon Gold and Jewelry Company inched up by around VND800,000 million to reach VND88.1 million and VND90.6 million per tael for buying and selling.
Other major jewelry firms, such as Bao Tin Minh Chau, Phu Quy, and DOJI, also raised their selling prices to around VND90.6 million per tael this morning.
This sudden rise is largely being fueled by the robust increases in global gold prices. Gold in the world market was traded at US$2,814 per ounce, up US$40 per ounce compared to the previous trading session.
