Overseas tribute ceremonies for former PM Phan Van Khai

VOV.VN - On March 20, Vietnamese embassies in Laos, Thailand, Japan, and China held ceremonies to pay tribute to former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai.

     The Vietnamese embassy in Laos hosted a tribute ceremony for late PM Khai on March 20. Representatives from the Party, State, Government, relevant agencies of Laos, and staff of the embassy and representative offices in Laos attended the event.

Lao Prime Minister Thoonglune Sisoulith leads a high-ranking delegation paying tribute to former PM Khai.

In the book of condolences, the Lao PM expresses deep sorrow over the death of PM Khai which is a great loss to the Vietnamese and Lao Party, State, and people.

Lao Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxau Commasith leads a diplomatic delegation to pay tribute to late PM Khai.

A delegation of the Vietnamese embassy and representative offices in Laos led by Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung pay tribute and offer incense to the former government leader.

On March 20, the Vietnamese embassy in Thailand also holds the same ceremony for late PM Khai. Pictured is Ambassador Nguyen Hai Bang and  embassy staff and representative offices in Thailand offering incense to late PM Khai.

Ambassadors to Thailand of several nations, diplomatic corps, and international friends also pay tribute to former PM Khai. The Swiss ambassador to Thailand  signs the book of condolences.

The tribute ceremony for PM Khai in Japan was attended by the Vietnamese ambassador to Japan Nguyen Quoc Cuong, the embassy’s staff, and members of the overseas Vietnamese community and representative offices in Japan.

Myanmar Ambassador to Japan Thurain Thant Zin pays tribute to former PM Khai.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Beijing hosts a tribute ceremony for late PM Khai in the presence of Vietnamese ambassador to China Dang Minh Khoi, the embassy’s staff, representatives of the overseas Vietnamese community, and Vietnamese alumni in China.


The Lao Ambassador to China Vandy Boutthasavong attends the event.

The Vietnamese Embassy in China also opens a book of condolences on March 20-21.
