Deputy PM examines Noi Bai Airport before Tet

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited Noi Bai International Airport on February 1 to examine its operations before the Lunar New Year holiday.

Praising the airport’s efforts to satisfy the rising travel demand, Phuc urged the aviation sector to ensure service quality and safety, and minimise flight cancellations and delays during peak season.

The deputy PM also urged airport customs officers to keep a close watch on people and goods coming in and out so they can handle any emergencies. The aviation sector was asked to enhance connections between airports to reduce pressure on major ones.

According to Noi Bai International Airport, flight frequency will rise by 20 percent this Tet, compared with the last season.
