Vietnam, Myanmar to beef up cooperation

Vietnam and Myanmar agreed to step up the traditional amity and all-round cooperation for two peoples’ benefit, contributing to the ASEAN peace, sustainability and collaboration.

The Vietnamese official asked the Myanmar Government to continue facilitate investment of Vietnamese enterprises in the country, especially in banking, aviation, telecommunications, mining, tourism and agriculture.
For her part, the Myanmar State Counsellor noted that Vietnam and Myanmar have traditional close relations while expressing her admiration for Vietnamese people’s struggle for independence.
She said she always respects the two countries’ relationship which was founded and foster by President Ho Chi Minh and her father - General Aung San as well as two governments and peoples’ efforts to lift up the relations in both bilateral and ASEAN framework, as well as at global and regional forums.
Deputy PM Minh conveyed Vietnamese leaders’ invitation to Myanmar President U Htin Kyaw to visit Vietnam.
He also invited the Myanmar State Counsellor to visit Vietnam as early as possible.
